Tom is a spy skilled in propaganda and deception, seduction and manipulation are the tools of his trade. He's a lover, not a fighter, and Eudio is the perfect place for him to win the war his way and put an end to WWII.

"Tom Cummings, Adman. The pleasure is mine." He wasn't lying, but he wasn't speaking truthfully, and it was the space between the two where Tom operated best.

He kisses the back of her hand and slides into the seat beside her, smiling a genuine smile because she was beautiful, and because she was already his. He could see it in her eyes and the curve of her mouth, the way her fingers tremble in his grip even though she's leaning into him and not away. A little shy, but open to meeting new people and trying new things, or she wouldn't have let a stranger buy her a drink different than the drink she was drinking.

She's a nice girl, but a lonely one. She can't keep his eye contact for too long before she looks away and giggles, her dimpled cheeks flushing because she's not used to so much attention, least of all from a stranger.

"I just love the music here." He doesn't, but she does and her face lights up when he says it and gives her an opportunity to speak her mind about something she's passionate about. He listens, he's good at that and likes doing it, and he can tell she's not used to being heard.

"I want to get to know you better."

He listens just as well when they're alone in the hotel room, and does everything she likes just the way she likes it. He doesn't love her, but he loves this moment they're sharing, and it's the space between he's learned to live in.
